| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>RESUMO<br/><br/>O objetivo do trabalho foi verificar o efeito da irrigação e fertirrigação nas propriedades tecnológicas das madeiras dos híbridos de Eucalyptus urograndis (Eucalyptus urophylla x Eucalyptus grandis) e Eucalyptus grancam (Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus camaldulensis), visando a produção de celulose e de carvão vegetal. As análises foram realizadas com delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, disposto em esquema fatorial com dois fatores: híbrido (Eucalyptus urograndis e Eucalyptus grancam) e irrigação (microaspersão fertirrigada, microaspersão, gotejamento fertirrigado, gotejamento e tratamento-controle). Foram realizadas as análises de densidade básica das madeiras, teores de lignina insolúvel, extrativos totais, holocelulose, cinzas e caracterização morfológica das fibras em quatro árvores por híbrido, aos 45 meses. O efeito da interação híbrido x irrigação foi significativo a 5% de probabilidade para as variáveis analisadas, com exceção da lignina insolúvel e o índice de Runkel. A irrigação e a fertirrigação não influenciaram a densidade básica da madeira e o teor de lignina insolúvel no Eucalyptusurograndis. O teor de extrativos totais foi reduzido com a aplicação da fertirrigação. De modo geral, não houve influência dos tratos silvi-culturais nas dimensões das fibras. Dado os resultados apresentados, conclui-se que Eucalyptusgrancamapresenta maior sensibilidade à aplicação da irrigação e fertirrigação, que podem ser aplicados aos híbridos Eucalyptusurograndis e Eucalyptusgrancam sem prejudicar suas propriedades tecnológicas.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: carvão vegetal; Eucalyptusgrancam; Eucalyptusurograndis; qualidade da madeira |

| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>ABSTRACT<br/><br/>The aim of this study was to verify the effects of irrigation and fertirrigation on the wood technological properties of the hybrids of Eucalyptusurograndis (Eucalyptusurophylla x Eucalyptusgrandis) and Eu-calyptusgrancam (Eucalyptusgrandis x Eucalyptuscamaldulensis), aiming at the production of cellulose and charcoal. Analyses were carried out with a completely randomized experimental design, arranged in a factorial scheme with two factors: hybrids (Eucalyptusurograndis and Eucalyptusgrancam) and irriga-tion (fertirrigated microaspersion, microaspersion, fertirrigated drip irrigation, drip irrigation and control treatment). Basic wood density, insoluble lignin content, total extractive content, holocellulose, ashes and morphological characterization of the fibers were analyzed in four trees per hybrid at 45 months. The effect of the interaction hybrid x irrigation was significant at 5% probability for the analyzed variables, with the exception of the insoluble lignin content and the Runkel index. Irrigation and fertirrigation did not influence the basic wood density and the insoluble lignin content of Eucalyptus urograndis. The total extractive content was reduced with the application of fertirrigation. In general, there was no influence of silvicul-tural treatments on fiber size. Given the results presented, it has been concluded that Eucalyptus grancam presents greater sensitivity to the application of irrigation and fertirrigation, which can be applied to both hybrids, Eucalyptusurograndis and Eucalyptusgrancam, without damaging their technological properties.<br/><br/>Keywords: charcoal; Eucalyptusgrancam; Eucalyptusurograndis; wood quality |
