| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>RESUMO: <br/><br/>O estudo de óleos essenciais obtidos de plantas de uso medicinal com atividade antifúngica<br/>vem ganhando grandes perspectivas e objetiva obter princípios ativos para uma possível aplicação<br/>prática no tratamento das infecções produzidas por fungos. Neste trabalho, foram feitas avaliações da<br/>atividade antifúngica de óleos essenciais obtidos de Caryophyllus aromaticus L; Cinnamonun<br/>zeilanicum; Citrus limon; Cymbopogon citratus; Eucaliptus giobolus; Eugenia uniflora; Matricharia<br/>chamomilla; Peumus boldus; Ruta graveolens contra Malassezia furfur. Tais óleos foram testados “in<br/>vitro” sobre 20 cepas isoladas de pacientes portadores de pitiríase versicolor. Os ensaios foram<br/>realizados pelo método de difusão em meio sólido, agar bile de boi 10% e incubados a 28 à 32° C.<br/>Conforme os resultados dos testes, foi constatado que os óleos essenciais de C. citratus e P boldus<br/>produziram maior atividade inibitória contra as cepas de M. furfur em relação aos demais.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: Antimicóticos; Malassezia; óleos essenciais, plantas medicinais |

| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>ABSTRACT: <br/><br/>Anti-fungal activity of essential oils “/n vitro”against strains of Malassezia furfur. The<br/>study of essential oils obtained from medicinal plants with anti-fungal activity has been attaining large<br/>perspectives and aims at obtaining active principles for a possible practical application in the treatment<br/>of infections caused by fungi. In this work, evaluations have been made of anti-fungal activity of essential<br/>oils obtained from Caryophyllus aromaticus L; Cinnamon zeilanicum; Citrus limon; Cymbopogon<br/>citratus; Eucaliptus giobolus; Eugenia uniflora; Matricharia chamomilla; Peumus boldus and Ruta<br/>graveolens gainst Malassezia furfur. Such oils were tested “in vitro” over 20 strains isolated from<br/>patients infected with versicolor phthiriasis. The tests were carried out by the method of diffusion in<br/>solid medium, ox bile agar, and incubated at 28 at 32C. According to the tests results, it was verified that<br/>the essential oils of C. citratus and P boldus produced greater inhibiting activity against the strains of M.<br/>furfur in relation to the others.<br/><br/>Key words: Anti-fungal activity; Malassezia furfur, essential oils. |
