| Nota de conteúdo | <br/>RESUMO: <br/><br/>Os óleos essenciais encontram ampla aplicação industrial, empregando-se puros, na forma<br/>de substâncias isoladas ou a parte vegetal que os contém. Este trabalho teve como objetivo estudar a<br/>produção de óleo essencial em função da época de colheita (primavera, verão, outono e inverno) da <br/>matéria-prima vegetal (folhas e galhos), visando o controle de qualidade no manejo de populações naturais de<br/>catuaba (Trichilia catigua A. Juss.) e negramina (Siparuna guianensis Aubl.). Na análise dos dados <br/>considerouse o esquema de parcelas subdivididas, tendo nas parcelas as épocas (estações do ano) e nas subparcelas<br/>as partes vegetais, no delineamento em blocos casualizados com 6 repetições. A extração de óleo essencial<br/>(OE) foi expresso com base no peso seco e extraído por arraste a vapor. Os resultados mostraram que a<br/>catuaba e a negramina não apresentaram variabilidade sazonal na produção de óleo essencial; observouse <br/>também, que não existe interação entre épocas e partes vegetais para ambas espécies. Contudo,<br/>visando otimizar as operações de manejo em função das estações do ano e os maiores rendimentos de<br/>óleo essencial, a colheita de catuaba deve ser realizada na estação do inverno ( 0,21% OE folhas e 0,16%<br/>OE galhos) e de negramina na estação do outono (0,18% OE folhas e 0,065% OE galhos).<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: plantas medicinais, óleo essencial, produtos florestais não madeireiros, variabilidade<br/>química sazonal, Mata Atlântica |

| Nota de conteúdo | <br/>ABSTRACT: <br/><br/>Production of essential oil in catuaba (Trichilia catigua A. Juss) and negramina (Siparuna<br/>guianensis Aubl.) in function of the harvest time. The essential oils find a wide industrial application, being<br/>used pure, in the form of isolated substances or the vegetable part that contains them. This work had as<br/>objective to study the production of essential oil in function of the harvest time (spring, summer, autumn and<br/>winter) of the vegetable raw material (leaves and branches), seeking the quality control in the management<br/>of natural populations of these species. In the analysis of the data it was considered the outline of subdivided<br/>fractions, having in the fractions the periods (seasons) and in the sub fractions the vegetable parts, in the<br/>delineation in randomized blocks with 6 repetitions. The content of essential oil (OE) was expressed on dry<br/>weight basis and it was extracted through the vapor dragging method. The results showed that catuaba and<br/>negramina didn’t present seasonal variability in the production of essential oil; it was also observed that<br/>interaction doesn’t exist between times and vegetable parts for both species. However, seeking to optimize<br/>the handling operations in function of the seasons and the largest production of essential oil, the harvest of<br/>catuaba should be accomplished in the winter season (0,21% OE leaves and 0,16% OE branches) and the<br/>harvest of negramina in the autumn season (0,18% OE leaves and 0,065% OE branches).<br/><br/>Key words: medicinal plants, essential oil, non-woody forest products, seasonal chemical variability, Mata<br/>Atlântica |
