| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>RESUMO<br/><br/>(O gênero Hebanthe (Amaranthaceae) no Brasil) Este estudo apresenta uma revisão taxonômica do gênero<br/>Hebanthe Mart. (Amaranthaceae) no Brasil. Seis espécies são confirmadas para o Brasil: Hebanthe eriantha<br/>(Poir.) Pedersen, H. grandiflora (Hook.) Borsch & Pedersen, H. occidentalis (R.E.Fr.) Borsch & Pedersen, H.<br/>pulverulenta Mart., H. reticulata (Seub.) Borsch & Pedersen e H. spicata Mart. São feitas sinonimizações de<br/>variedades e formas. As espécies de Hebanthe são encontradas em formações florestais, principalmente no<br/>interior e em bordas de matas ciliares, semi-decíduas e pluvial-atlântica. Além da chave para identificação das<br/>espécies são apresentadas descrições, ilustrações, informações sobre o hábitat e distribuição geográfica,<br/>comentários taxonômicos e nomenclaturais.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: taxonomia, formações florestais, Hebanthe, Amaranthaceae. |

| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>ABSTRACT<br/><br/>(The genus Hebanthe (Amaranthaceae) in Brazil) This study presents a revision of the genus Hebanthe<br/>Mart. (Amaranthaceae) in Brazil. Six species are confirmed for Brazil: Hebanthe eriantha (Poir.) Pedersen, H.<br/>grandiflora (Hook.) Borsch & Pedersen, H. occidentalis (R.E.Fr.) Borsch & Pedersen, H. pulverulenta Mart.,<br/>H. reticulata (Seub.) Borsch & Pedersen e H. spicata Mart. Synonimizations of varieties and forms are<br/>presented. The species occur in forest formation, mainly in edges and interiors of riparian, semi-deciduous,<br/>and pluvial atlantic forests. Descriptions, identification keys, nomenclatural comments, ilustrations of the<br/>diagnostic caracteres are presented together with information on species habtitats, geographical distributions.<br/><br/>Key words: taxonomy, forest formation, Hebanthe, Amaranthaceae. |
