| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>Resumo: A propagação é o primeiro passo para a domesticação de espécies de interesse pelo homem. Contudo, muitas espécies ainda se encontram sem informações disponíveis quanto a formas e viabilidade de métodos de propagação. Assim,o objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar o comportamento germinativo de sementes de araçazeiro em relação ao fotoblastismo, ou seja, em presença e ausência de luminosidade. As sementes foram coletadas no munícipio de Caldas Novas, GO e a condução experimental ocorreu entre os meses de fevereiro e maio de 2020 em germinador, sob ambiente controlado em temperatura de 25°C com variação de ±2°C no laboratório Agroanálise no município de Goiatuba/GO. Foram avaliados: porcentagem de plântulas normais, porcentagem de plântulas estioladas, porcentagem de germinação e porcentagem de plântulas com folhas, sendo os dados em porcentagem transformados em arc sen √(P/100) e o Índice de Velocidade de Germinação (IVG), sem transformação. Conclui-se que as sementes de araçazeiro demonstraram maior potencial de germinação em ausência de luz sendo, portanto, fotoblásticas negativas, não germinando na presença de luz. A condição de ausência de luz não favoreceu o desenvolvimento das plântulas, o que causou um elevado quadro de estiolamento nas mesmas, enquanto que a condição de presença de luz favoreceu a formação de plântulas normais.<br/><br/><br/>Palavras-chave: Ausência de luz, Estiolamento, Luminosidade |

| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>Abstract: Propagation is the first step towards the domestication of species of interest to man. However, many species are still without information available on forms and viability of propagation methods. Thus, the objective of this work is to determine the behavior of araçazeiro seeds in relation to photoblastism, that is, in the presence and absence of light. The seeds were collected in the municipality of Caldas Novas, GO and the experimental conduction took place between February and May 2020 in a controlled environment with a germinator at a temperature of 25°C with a variation of ± 2°C in the Agroanalysis laboratory in the municipality of Goiatuba/GO. The following were evaluated: percentage of normal seedlings, percentage of stiolate seedlings, percentage of germination and percentage of seedlings with leaves, with the percentage data being transformed into arc sen √(P / 100) and the Germination Speed Index (IVG), without transformation. It is concluded that the araçazeiro seeds showed greater germination potential in dark conditions, being, therefore, photoblastic negative, not germinating in the presence of light. The condition of darkness did not favor the development of seedlings, which caused a high degree of estiolation in them, while the condition of light favored the formation of normal seedlings. <br/><br/><br/>Keyword: Absence of light, Estiolation.
