| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>Abstract<br/><br/>We present the taxonomic treatment of Convolvulaceae for the Meruoca Massif, located in the Northwest<br/>region of the Ceará state, where there are remnants of Tropical Pluvial Sub-deciduous Forest (Dry Forest)<br/>and Tropical Pluvial-Nebular Rainforest (Wet Forest). The present study was based on the morphological<br/>analysis of specimens collected in the field and from the collections EAC, HUEFS, HUVA, PEUFR, and<br/>SPF. We recorded 24 species distributed in four genera: Ipomoea (18 species), Jacquemontia (three species),<br/>Distimake (two species), and Camonea (one species). We report the first records of I. cearensis for Atlantic<br/>Forest and I. aristolochiifolia to the state of Ceará. The taxonomic treatment includes identification key,<br/>morphological descriptions, geographic distribution, taxonomic and ecological comments, the period of<br/>flowering and fruiting, and photos and illustrations of the diagnostic characters.<br/><br/>Key words: biodiversity, semiarid, Ipomoea, flora, taxonomy.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>Resumo<br/><br/>Apresentamos o tratamento taxonômico de Convolvulaceae para o maciço da Meruoca localizado na região<br/>noroeste do estado do Ceará, onde existem remanescentes de Floresta Tropical Pluvial Sub-decídua (Floresta<br/>Seca) e Floresta Tropical Plúvio-Nebular (Floresta Úmida). O presente estudo foi baseado em análise<br/>morfológica de espécimes de coletados em campo e a partir de coleções do EAC, HUEFS, HUVA, PEUFR,<br/>e SPF. Registramos 24 espécies distribuídas em quatro gêneros: Ipomoea (18 espécies), Jacquemontia (três<br/>espécies), Distimake (duas espécies), e Camonea (uma espécie). Reportamos o primeiro registro de I. cearensis<br/>para a Mata Atlântica e I. aristolochiifolia para o estado do Ceará. O tratamento taxonômico inclui chave de<br/>identificação, descrição morfológica, distribuição geográfica, comentários taxonômico e ecológico, período<br/>de floração e frutificação, fotos e ilustrações dos caracteres diagnósticos.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: biodiversidade, semiárido, Ipomoea, flora, taxonomia. |
