| Nota de conteúdo | RESUMO<br/><br/>O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar e comparar a densidade (Ds), o teor de carbono (C) e de<br/>nitrogênio (N), estoque de carbono (EstC) e de nitrogênio (EstN) e a abundância natural de<br/>δ13C no perfil do solo de uma área de Floresta Estacional Semidecidual (FES) convertida em<br/>monocultura eucalipto (Corymbia citriodora) (ERN), visando elucidar as mudanças ocorridas<br/>nesse ambiente. Para isso, foram coletadas amostras de terra em profundidades de até um metro<br/>em cada área de estudo. A conversão da FES para monocultura na área de ERN reduziu a Ds, o N<br/>e a EstC na camada superficial, no entanto foi observado um aumento na EstC nas camadas mais<br/>profundas do solo. O sinal isotópico de δ13C da vegetação que antes ocupava as áreas do plantio<br/>C. citriodora era semelhante ao encontrado atualmente na área de FES, e a época de conversão<br/>foi na profundidade 0,40 m do perfil do solo.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: matéria orgânica do solo, abundância isotópica, Mata Atlântica, Corymbia citriodora.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>Carbon, Nitrogen and Natural Abundance of δ13C in Forest Cover<br/><br/>ABSTRACT<br/>The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the density (Ds) and content of carbon (C) and<br/>nitrogen (N), carbon (Cstock) and nitrogen stock (Nstock), and the natural abundance of δ13C<br/>in the soil profile of an area of Semideciduous Forest (SF) converted to eucalyptus monoculture<br/>(Corymbia citriodora) (ERN) in order to elucidate the changes in these environments. For this<br/>purpose, soil samples were collected at depths up to one meter in each study area. The conversion<br/>of FES to monocultures reduced Ds, N and EstC in the surface layer. However, there was an<br/>increase in EstC in the deeper soil layers. The δ13C isotopic signal of the vegetation that once<br/>occupied areas of C. citriodora plantation was similar to that currently found in the area of SF,<br/>and the time of conversion was at the depth of 0,40 m in the soil profile.<br/><br/>Keywords: organic matter of soil, isotopic abundance, Atlantic rain forest, Corymbia<br/>citriodora. |
