| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>RESUMO<br/><br/>Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a influência do tratamento térmico em óleo de soja sobre<br/>algumas propriedades físicas da madeira de Pinus sp., sendo avaliadas a variação dimensional,<br/>massa específica, empenamento e rachaduras em amostras com espessuras de 5 mm e 20 mm.<br/>As amostras foram submetidas ao tratamento térmico à temperatura de 80 °C e 160 °C com tempo<br/>de 20 e 40 minutos, com e sem imersão posterior em óleo frio. Foram realizadas comparações com<br/>amostras testemunhas a 12% de umidade. Os resultados demonstraram que os fatores de maior<br/>efeito do tratamento térmico com óleo de soja sobre as propriedades foram: maior temperatura<br/>de tratamento térmico (160 °C); menor espessura inicial (5 mm); maior tempo de tratamento<br/>(40 minutos) e imersão em óleo frio após o tratamento térmico. Os efeitos do tratamento térmico<br/>associado à imersão em óleo frio resultaram em menores contrações e empenamentos e no<br/>aumento dos valores da massa específica.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: propriedades físicas, variação dimensional, contração, massa<br/>específica, empenamento.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>Effect of Thermal Treatment With Soybean Oil on Wood Pinus<br/><br/>ABSTRACT<br/><br/>This study aimed to evaluate the influence of heat treatment on soybean oil with some physical<br/>properties of Pinus sp wood, being evaluated the dimensional variation, density, warping and<br/>cracking in samples with 5 mm and 20 mm thicknesses. The samples were submitted to heat<br/>treatment at a temperature of 80 °C to 160 °C, for 20 and 40 minutes, with and without subsequent<br/>immersion in cold oil. Comparisons were made with control samples, to 12% moisture content.<br/>The results demonstrated that the factors of greater effect of the thermal treatment with soybean oil<br/>on the properties were: high-temperature heat treatment (160 °C); lower initial thickness (5 mm);<br/>longer treatment (40 minutes) and immersion in cold oil after the heat treatment. The effects of<br/>the heat treatment associated with immersion in cold oil resulted in lower shrinkage and warp<br/>and in the increase in density values.<br/><br/>Keywords: physical properties, dimensional variation, shrinkage, density, warp. |
