| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>O açaizeiro e a juçara são as principais fontes de palmito, explorados de forma extrativa e predatória, sendo<br/>preciso encontrar substitutos para cultivos racionais, desta forma o objetivo deste artigo é realizar um estudo da<br/>viabilidade econômica da pupunheira na região do Amapá. As análises foram realizadas com os valores de R$ 3,50<br/>e R$ 4,00 por haste, com taxas mínimas de atratividade (TMAs) de 8; 10 e 12%, uso ou não de irrigação complementar,<br/>sendo estimados a Taxa Interna de Retorno (TIR), o Payback descontado (PB), o Índice de Lucratividade (IL) e o<br/>Valor Presente Líquido (VPL). Concluiu-se que ambos os preços tornam o projeto viável, recomendando-se o maior<br/>valor para viabilizar efetivamente o cultivo na região. O tempo de retorno com menor preço e irrigação, associado a<br/>uma TMA alta torna desestimulante o investimento. Pelas curvas uma TMA de 8% com irrigação em ambos os<br/>preços é mais atrativa, lembrando que a não adoção da irrigação pode gerar impacto negativo na produtividade na<br/>estiagem e; pela dependência de fretes para os insumos, ausência de mão de obra qualificada, os custos impactam<br/>negativamente o empreendimento.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: Bactris gasipaes, desempenho econômico, desenvolvimento sustentável.<br/><br/><br/> |

| Nota de conteúdo | Economical sustainability of heart of palm from pejibaye palm in Amapá state.<br/><br/>The açaí and juçara palms trees are the main sources of palm heart, exploited in an extractive and predatory way, and<br/>it is necessary to find substitutes for rational crops, so the objective of this article is to carry out a study of the<br/>economic viability of peach palm in the region of Amapá. Analyzes were performed with values of R$ 3.50 and R$<br/>4.00 per stem, with minimum rates of attractiveness (TMAs) of 8; 10 and 12%, use or not of complementary<br/>irrigation, being estimated the Internal Rate of Return (IRR), the discounted Payback (PB), the Profitability Index<br/>(IL) and the Net Present Value (NPV). It was concluded that both prices make the project viable, recommending the<br/>highest value to effectively enable cultivation in the region. The payback time with lower price and irrigation,<br/>associated with a high TMA becomes a discouraging investment. Based on the curves, a TMA of 8% with irrigation<br/>at both prices is more attractive, remembering that the non-adoption of irrigation can generate a negative impact on<br/>productivity in the dry season and; due to the dependence on freight for inputs, the absence of qualified labor, the<br/>costs impact negatively the enterprise.<br/><br/>Key words: Bactris gasipaes, economic performance, sustainable development |
