Dinâmica da distribuição diamétrica e produção de eucalipto em diferentes idades e espaçamentos

RESUMO: O presente estudo teve por objetivo avaliar a dinâmica da distribuição diamétrica e produção de Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill em diferentes idades e espaçamentos. Os dados são provenientes de parcelas permanentes nas regiões Centro-Oriental Rio-Grandense e Metropolitana de Porto Alegre, RS. A função de Weibull com dois parâmetros foi usada para representar a dinâmica da distribuição diamétrica no tempo. Os parâmetros de forma e escala da função de Weibull foram reestimados em função de atributos do povoamento. O polinômio de quinto grau foi usado para descrever a forma do tronco, de acordo com os sortimentos de madeira. Os resultados permitem prognosticar a produção de eucalipto no tempo segundo os multiprodutos de madeira definidos, auxiliando as atividades de planejamento florestal em áreas de plantio da espécie.

ABSTRACT: The present study aimed to evaluate the dynamics of diameter distribution and yield of Eucalyptus grandis W. Hill at different ages and spacing. Data was obtained from permanent plot in the regions Center-East Rio Grandense and Metropolitan Porto Alegre, RS. Weibull function of two parameters was use to represent the dynamics of the diameter distribution in time. The shape and scale parameters of the Weibull function was reestimated in function of population attributes. The fifth polynomial was use to describe the tapering stem and classification by timber assortments. The results allow predicting the production of eucalyptus in time according to the multiproduct defined timber, aid the activities of forest planning in the planting areas of the species.
