RESUMO
O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar a qualidade do solo sob povoamentos florestais homog&#xEA;neos (Acacia
mangium - ac&#xE1;cia, Mimosa artemisiana - mimosa e Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla - eucalipto)
em compara&#xE7;&#xE3;o com &#xE1;rea de pastagem de Brachiaria sp. (pasto) e floresta secund&#xE1;ria. 
O trabalho foi conduzido na Fazenda Cachoeir&#xE3;o, em Al&#xE9;m Para&#xED;ba - MG. A amostragem foi realizada nas camadas de 0,00
- 0,05 m e 0,05 - 0,10 m. Foram analisados os atributos qu&#xED;micos tais como teor de nutrientes, pH, acidez
potencial (H + Al) e teor de carbono org&#xE2;nico (COT), e os atributos f&#xED;sicos densidade do solo (Ds), volume
total de poros (VTP) e a estabilidade de agregados. Os valores de satura&#xE7;&#xE3;o por bases foram muito baixos
em todas as &#xE1;reas. Dentre os povoamentos florestais, as &#xE1;reas de mimosa e eucalipto proporcionaram maior
adi&#xE7;&#xE3;o de COT ao solo. N&#xE3;o houve diferen&#xE7;a significativa para as vari&#xE1;veis Ds e VTP em nenhuma das camadas analisadas. 
O atributo qu&#xED;mico que possibilitou melhor diferencia&#xE7;&#xE3;o entre as &#xE1;reas foi o teor de carbono org&#xE2;nico (COT). 
As florestas de mimosa e ac&#xE1;cia foram as que mais contribu&#xED;ram para a estabiliza&#xE7;&#xE3;o
dos agregados do solo na camada de 0,00 - 0,05 m. Esta camada foi a que apresentou melhor diferencia&#xE7;&#xE3;o
entre as &#xE1;reas em rela&#xE7;&#xE3;o &#xE0; estabilidade de agregados. A &#xE1;rea de pastagem foi a que mais se assemelhou &#xE0;
floresta secund&#xE1;ria quanto &#xE0; estabilidade de agregados nas camadas de 0,00 - 0,05 m e 0,05 - 0,10 m. Para a
profundidade de 0,05 - 0,10 m, n&#xE3;o foram verificadas diferen&#xE7;as estat&#xED;sticas entre as &#xE1;reas para as vari&#xE1;veis
f&#xED;sicas estudadas.

ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to evaluate soil quality in homogeneous forests (Acacia mangium - acacia,
Mimosa Artemesiana &#x2013; mimosa and Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla - eucalipto) compared
with Brachiaria sp. - pasture and secondary forest. The study was conducted at Cachoeir&#xE3;o farm in Al&#xE9;m
Para&#xED;ba, MG state. Sampling was carried out in soil layers of 0.00 &#x2013; 0.05 and 0.05 &#x2013; 0.10m. Soil samples
were characterized through chemical attributes and soil total organic carbon (TOC) and physical analysis:
bulk density (BD), particle density (PD), total porosity (TP) and aggregate stability. The saturation values
per base were low in all areas. Among the forest stands, mimosa and eucalipto were the ones that provided
the highest TOC soil addition. There was no significant difference for the variables BD, PD and TP in any
analysed layers. The chemical attribute that allowed better differentiation between the areas was the one of
organic carbon content (TOC). Mimosa and acacia were the main contributors to the stabilization of soil 
aggregates in the first 0,05 m layer. This layer showed the best differentiation between areas in relation to
aggregate stability. The pasture area is the one which more resembled the secondary forest on the stability of
aggregates in the topsoil (0.0-0.10m). For the 0.05-0.10 m depth, there was no statistical difference between
areas for any of the physical variables studied.
