RESUMO- 

Foram conduzidos alguns experimentos em casa de vegeta&#xE7;&#xE3;o para verificar o efeito do
substrato, do IBA (&#xE1;cido indolbut&#xED;rico), da posi&#xE7;&#xE3;o e do tamanho da estaca na propaga&#xE7;&#xE3;o da carqueja.
Em todos os experimentos foram utilizadas estacas retiradas dos ramos de crescimento do ano, sem
ramifica&#xE7;&#xF5;es. Os substratos testados foram vermiculita, areia, solo e casca de arroz carbonizada. O
delineamento foi inleiramente casualizado com 4 repeti&#xE7;&#xF5;es. No experimento com IBA, os tratamentos
foram os seguintes: 0, 500. 1000, 1500 e 2000 mg.L '. O delineamento loi o mesmo do experimento com
substratos. No terceiro experimento foram testadas 3 posi&#xE7;&#xF5;es da estaca: apical, mediana e basal. O
delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado com 5 repeti&#xE7;&#xF5;es. No &#xFA;ltimo experimento foram
tostados quatro tamanhos de estaca: 5. 10. 15 e 20cm O delineamento foi em blocos ao acaso com 4
repeti&#xE7;&#xF5;es Os experimentos com substratos e de tamanho das estacas foram instalados dentro de casa
dc vegeta&#xE7;&#xE3;o, com irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o realizada em dias alternados. Os outros experimentos foram instalados
dentro de c&#xE2;mara de nebuliza&#xE7;&#xE3;o com intervalo de rega de 30 minutos. O melhor substrato foi a casca de
arroz carbonizada, onde as estacas apresentaram o maior desenvolvimento do sistema radicular, menor
mortalidade e maior crescimento das brota&#xE7;&#xF5;es. N&#xE3;o houve diferen&#xE7;a significativa de enraizamento em
rela&#xE7;&#xE3;o as dosagens de IBA. sendo 93.5% a m&#xE9;dia geral do experimento. O efeito do IBA foi apenas
verificado quanto ao n&#xFA;mero de raizes omitidas por estaca, cuja dose de 2000 mg U&#x2019; (10.3 raizes/
estaca} foi superior a testemunha (6,3 ra&#xED;zes/ostaca). mas n&#xE3;o diferiu dos demais tratamentos. Quanto
maior o tamanho das estacas, maior foi o n&#xFA;mero de raizes e o comprimento das brota&#xE7;&#xF5;es emitidas por
estaca. Quanto a posi&#xE7;&#xE3;o da estaca n&#xE3;o foram verificadas diferen&#xE7;as significativas entro os tratamentos
para a porcentagem do enraizamento, mas as estacas basais apresentaram menor n&#xFA;mero de raizes
emitidas por estaca, maior mortalidade e menor brota&#xE7;&#xE3;o. Conclui-se que a estaquta da carqueja pado
ser realizada em casca do arroz carbonizada, com estacas de 15 a 20cm, coletadas da regi&#xE3;o apical e
mediana das brota&#xE7;&#xF5;es, sem a necessidade de aplica&#xE7;&#xE3;o de IBA.

ABSTRACT: 

Cutting propagation of Baccharis trimera (Less.) A.R de Candolle. Some
experiments were conducted into a greenhouse to verily the effect of substrate, IBA (mdol butyric acid),
position and culling length in the Baccharis trimera propagation Cuttings collected of new shoots, without
ramifications, were used in all experiments. The substrates were Iho following vermiculite, sand, soil and
carbonized rice hulls. The statistical design was completely randomized with 4 replicates. The IBA
concentratios were the following: 0, 500. 1000. 1500 and 200Qmg,LThe statistical design was the same
ol the experiment with substrate. In the third experiment was tested the following cutting positions: apical,
middle and basal. The statistical design was completely randomized with 5 replicates. In the las! experiment
was tested the following cutting length: 5, 10, 15 and 20cm, The statistical design was in randomrzed
blocks with 4 replicates. The expenments with substrates and cutting length were conducted into a
greenhouse and irrigated once each two days. The olhers experiments were conducted into a inlermrtenl
mist chamber with irrigation each 30 minutes. The best substrate was the carbonized rice hulls, that
showed the highest rooting system development, the smallest mortality and the highest shoot growth
The IBA has not stgnificanty affected Iho rooting percentage, which rate was 93.5%, but showed effect in
relation al the number of roots per cutting, which the IBA concentration at 2D0Dmg.L 1 (10,3 roots/cuttmg)
was higher than control (6,3 rools/cutting), but didn&#x2019;t differ the others. The root number por cutting and the
shoot length per cutting increased with tha cutting length The cutting position has not significantly affected
the rooling cuttings, but the basal cuttings showed the smallest root number per cutting, the highest
mortality and the smallest percent of culling with shoot The Baccharis trimera propagation can be possible
by cutting with 15 or2Ocm colected of the apical and middle portion of the shoots, in substrate of carbonized
rice hulls, without IBA application.
