RESUMO: 

O presente estudo objetivou analisar o efeito do uso de diferentes substratos
alternativos no desenvolvimento de mudas de aroeira do sert&#xE3;o. O experimento foi conduzido
no viveiro florestal da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco. Os tratamentos utilizados
foram os seguintes: T1 = testemunha (100% de res&#xED;duo de poda); T2 = 2,5 partes de res&#xED;duo
de poda + 1,5 partes de serragem; T3 = 2,5 partes de res&#xED;duo de poda + 1,5 partes de fibra
de coco; T4 = 2,5 partes de res&#xED;duo de poda + 1,5 partes de bagana de carna&#xFA;ba. Aos 120
dias ap&#xF3;s o transplantio analisou-se as seguintes vari&#xE1;veis: altura da parte a&#xE9;rea, di&#xE2;metro do
coleto e n&#xFA;mero de folhas. O tratamento T4, que utilizou a bagana de carna&#xFA;ba, apresentou os
melhores resultados em praticamente todos os par&#xE2;metros avaliados. Pode-se concluir que o
substrato composto por res&#xED;duo de poda urbana + bagana de carna&#xFA;ba proporciona o melhor
crescimento em mudas de aroeira do sert&#xE3;o em viveiro.

ABSTRACT: 

Production of mastic seedlings from the hinterland (Myracrodruon
urundeuva) in several alternative substrates. This study aimed to analyze the effect of
using different alternative substrates in developing mastic seedlings from the hinterland. The
experiment was conducted in the forest nursery of UFRPE. Treatments were: T1 = control (100%
pruning waste); T2 = 2.5 parts pruning residue + 1.5 parts of sawdust; T3 = 2.5 parts pruning
residue + 1.5 parts of coconut fiber; T4 = 2.5 parts pruning residue + 1.5 parts carnauba straw.
At 120 days after transplanting analyzed the following variables: shoot height, stem diameter
and number of leaves. The treatment T4 showed the best results in almost all parameters. It
can be concluded that the substrate consists of consists of urban pruning + carnauba straw
provides the best growing pepper tree seedling nursery in the hinterland.
