RESUMO: 

Bidens pilosa, popularmente conhecida como pic&#xE3;o-preto, &#xE9; uma herb&#xE1;cea ereta,
considerada invasora de culturas comerciais, crescendo espontaneamente em lavouras
brasileiras. Apesar do seu emprego na medicina popular para tratamento de angina, diabetes
e hepatite, estudos sobre a esp&#xE9;cie s&#xE3;o escassos. Este trabalho realizou a pesquisa dos
constituintes qu&#xED;micos em extratos de B. pilosa, avaliou atividade antimicrobiana e o potencial
inibit&#xF3;rio sobre o fungo de solo Penicillium sp., bem como o efeito alelop&#xE1;tico na germina&#xE7;&#xE3;o.
Foram utilizadas sementes e folhas, para preparo dos extratos aquosos &#xE0; 5%. Os extratos
foram submetidos &#xE0; triagem fitoqu&#xED;mica, e avalia&#xE7;&#xE3;o da atividade antimicrobiana, pela t&#xE9;cnica
de Pour-plate. Testes de fitotoxicidade foram avaliados por alelopatia em sementes de Lactuca
sativa e Capsicum annuum, e a&#xE7;&#xE3;o antif&#xFA;ngica frente ao fungo Penicillium sp. Os resultados
fitoqu&#xED;micos demonstraram variabilidade na constitui&#xE7;&#xE3;o qu&#xED;mica dependente da parte do
vegetal empregada. A avalia&#xE7;&#xE3;o frente a microrganismos patog&#xEA;nicos demonstrou aus&#xEA;ncia de
atividade nas condi&#xE7;&#xF5;es e concentra&#xE7;&#xF5;es testadas (0,5; 1,0; 2,0 e 4,0%). Testes alelop&#xE1;ticos
demonstraram estimulo do desenvolvimento da rad&#xED;cula e do hipoc&#xF3;tilo de sementes de Lactuca
sativa e Capsicum annuum, na concentra&#xE7;&#xE3;o de 1% do extrato das folhas de B. pilosa, enquanto
na concentra&#xE7;&#xE3;o de 4% observou-se inibi&#xE7;&#xE3;o do crescimento de ambas as partes. A avalia&#xE7;&#xE3;o
da a&#xE7;&#xE3;o antif&#xFA;ngica frente o fungo demonstrou inibi&#xE7;&#xE3;o de 26,7% na concentra&#xE7;&#xE3;o de 4% do
extrato. Estes resultados indicam que a esp&#xE9;cie pode ser utilizada na busca de novas mol&#xE9;culas
herbicidas, menos t&#xF3;xicas ao meio ambiente e ao homem.

ABSTRACT: 

Evaluation of antimicrobial activity and allelopathic effects on seed
germination and soil fungus with Bidens pilosa extracts (Asteraceae). Bidens pilosa,
popularly known as pic&#xE3;o-preto, is an erect herbaceous, considered invasive of commercial
crops, growing spontaneously in Brazilian crops. Despite its use in folk medicine to treat angina,
diabetes and hepatitis, studies of the species are scarce. This research work carried out for the
chemical constituents Bidens pilosa extract, evaluated antimicrobial activity and the inhibitory
potential of the soil fungus Penicillium sp., as well as allelopathic effect on germination. Seeds
and leaves were used for preparation of aqueous extracts to 5%. The extracts were subjected
to phytochemical screening, and evaluation of the antimicrobial activity by Pour-plate technique.
Phytotoxicity tests were evaluated by allelopathy in Lactuca sativa seeds and Capsicum annuum,
and action antifungal against the fungus Penicillium sp. The results showed phytochemicals
chemically dependent variability in the part of the plant used. The evaluation against pathogenic
micro-organisms showed no activity under the conditions and concentrations tested (0.5, 1.0,
2.0 and 4.0%). Allelopathic tests showed stimulation of the radicle and hypocotyl Lactuca sativa
seeds and Capsicum annuum, at a concentration of 1% extract of leaves of Bidens pilosa, while
the concentration of 4% was observed inhibition of growth both the parts. The evaluation of the 
antifungal action fungus showed 26.7% inhibition at a concentration of 4% extract. These
results indicate that the species can be used in the search for new herbicides molecules less
toxic to the environment and to humans.
