(Os primeirosanos da Rodriguésia—1935-1938:Embusca deuma nova comunicação científica) 
Buscamos analisar ostrês primeiros anos do periódico científico Rodriguésia, publicado desde 1935. 
Essa primeira fase referese ao períodoemque a revistafoi editada pelo Instituto deBiologiaVegetal, Jardim Botânicoe EstaçãoBiológica
de Itatiaia e tinha uma proposta de alcançar um público mais amplo que a divulgação entre pares e abranger um
escopo alémda taxonomia botânica, como a entomologia agrícola, fitopatologia, genética e ecologia agrícola.

ABSTRACT

(The first years of Rodriguésia — 1935-1938: Searchingfor a new science communication) We analyzed the
first three years of the scientific journal Rodriguésia that is being published since 1935. During this period,
the journalwas edited bythe Instituto de Biologia Vegetal,Jardim Botânico and EstaçãoBiológica de Itatiaia.
It had the purpose to reach other people over the scientific community including areas other than the
Taxonomic Botany, such as Agricultural Entomology, Phytopatology, Genetics, and Agricultural Ecology.
