RESUMO

O objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar a toxicidade de doses do herbicida oxyfluorfen aplicado em
pr&#xE9;-emerg&#xEA;ncia via &#xE1;gua de irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o na implanta&#xE7;&#xE3;o da cultura do eucalipto, clone VCC865 (h&#xED;brido
de Eucalyptus urophylla x Eucalyptus grandis), al&#xE9;m de sua efic&#xE1;cia no controle de plantas daninhas.
O experimento foi conduzido em condi&#xE7;&#xF5;es de campo, em delineamento experimental em blocos
casualizados, com quatro repeti&#xE7;&#xF5;es, em esquema fatorial 5 x 2 x 2, sendo cinco doses do herbicida
oxyfluorfen (0; 360; 720; 1080 e 1440 g i.a. ha-1), dois modos de aplica&#xE7;&#xE3;o (sobre a planta e sobre o solo)
e dois volumes da &#xE1;gua de irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o (5 e 10 litros). Os tratamentos foram aplicados manualmente 15
dias ap&#xF3;s o plantio das mudas com aux&#xED;lio de um regador. Foram realizadas avalia&#xE7;&#xF5;es de porcentagem
visual de intoxica&#xE7;&#xE3;o, altura de plantas, di&#xE2;metro do coleto, n&#xFA;mero de folhas, &#xE1;rea foliar total, massa
seca da parte a&#xE9;rea, teor relativo de clorofila, condut&#xE2;ncia estom&#xE1;tica, concentra&#xE7;&#xE3;o interna de CO2,
taxa fotossint&#xE9;tica e taxa de transpira&#xE7;&#xE3;o. As plantas daninhas presentes na &#xE1;rea &#xFA;til do entorno das
covas de plantio foram identificadas e quantificadas, para determina&#xE7;&#xE3;o da densidade de plantas na
&#xE1;rea amostrada por tratamento. Foram identificadas na &#xE1;rea de implanta&#xE7;&#xE3;o do eucalipto 27 esp&#xE9;cies
de plantas daninhas, pertencentes a 23 g&#xEA;neros e 11 fam&#xED;lias bot&#xE2;nicas, com maior ocorr&#xEA;ncia de
Chenopodium carinatum, Blainvillea biaristata e Urochloa decumbens. O oxyfluorfen na &#xE1;gua de irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o,
independente da forma de aplica&#xE7;&#xE3;o e o volume de &#xE1;gua de irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o, mostrou-se seletivo &#xE0; cultura
nas doses avaliadas, promovendo nas maiores doses (1080 e 1440 g i.a. ha-1) eficiente controle em 
pr&#xE9;-emerg&#xEA;ncia das plantas daninhas e aumento no crescimento inicial do eucalipto, principalmente no
n&#xFA;mero de folhas, &#xE1;rea foliar e ac&#xFA;mulo de massa seca da parte a&#xE9;rea.

ABSTRACT

This research aimed to evaluate the toxicity of oxyfluorfen doses applied in pre-emergence via irrigation
water in the implantation of eucalyptus crop, clone VCC865 (hybrid Eucalyptus urophylla x Eucalyptus
grandis), in addition to its effectiveness in weed control. The experiment was conducted under field
conditions, in experimental design in randomized block, with four replications, in a 5 x 2 x 2 factorial
scheme: five doses of oxyfluorfen herbicide (0, 360, 720, 1080 and 1440 g a.i. ha-1), two forms of application
(on the plant and on the soil) and two volumes of irrigation water (5 and 10 L). The treatments were
applied manually 15 days after planting the seedlings using a watering can. Eucalyptus intoxication
percentage, plant height, collar diameter, leaf number, leaf area, shoot dry mass, relative chlorophyll
content, stomatal conductance, internal CO2 concentration, photosynthetic rate and respiration rate
were evaluated. Weeds present in the useful area of the planting holes were identified and quantified to
determine plant density in the sampled area by treatment. In the area of implantation of the eucalyptus,
27 species of weeds were identified, belonging to 23 genera and 11 botanical families, with greater
occurrence of Chenopodium carinatum, Blainvillea biaristata and Urochloa decumbens. The oxyfluorfen in
the irrigation water, regardless of the application form and the volume of irrigation water volume, was
selective for the crop at the doses evaluated. The highest doses (1080 and 1440 g a.i. ha-1) effectively
controlled pre-emergence of weed growth, which increased initial growth of the eucalyptus plants,
mainly in the leaf number, leaf area and accumulation of shoot dry mass.
