Apesar da recente publicação do tratamento florístico de Eriocaulaceae da flora fanerogâmica do estado de São Paulo, foram encontrados em herbários espécimes de duas espécies de Paepalanthus não incluídas no tratamento. Além disso, uma nova espécie de Paepalanthus foi recentemente descrita para o estado. Apresentamos aqui a descrição de P. glabrifolius, P. pseudotortilis e P. sphaeroides, assim como fotografias e breves comentários sobre sua morfologia, distribuição geográfica e fenologia. Fornecemos também uma chave de identificação atualizada incluindo todas as espécies do gênero no estado de São Paulo, que abriga agora 21 espécies.

Abstract
Despite the recent publication of floristic treatment of Eriocaulaceae for the phanerogamic flora of the state of São Paulo, specimens of two non included species of Paepalanthus were found in herbaria. Additionally, a new species of Paepalanthus occurring in the State was recently described. We present here the description of P. glabrifolius, P. pseudotortilis, and P. sphaeroides, as well as photos and brief comments on its morphology, geographical distribution, and phenology. We also provide an updated identification key for the Paepalanthus species occurring in the state of São Paulo, which hosts now 21 species.
