En base al estudio de colecciones recientes y materiales originales, se propone transferir la especie al género Planaltina, P. angustata. Se presenta una clave dicotómica con todas las especies del género. Se analiza la morfología polínica y se compara con las otras especies de Planaltina. Se presentan imágenes de la planta en su ambiente. De acuerdo a criterios de IUCN, P. angustata debería ser considerada en peligro: EN B2a,b(iii). Abstract As part of the studies carried out in the species of Diodia from the Americas, we present a discussion of the taxonomic identity of Diodia angustata. Based on the study of recent collections and original materials, we propose to transfer the species to the genus Planaltina, as P. angustata. A dichotomous key for all species of the genus is included. The pollen morphology is also analyzed and compared with other species of Planaltina. Images of the plant on its environment are provided. According to IUCN criterion, P. angustata must be considered endangered: EN B2a,b(iii). Key words: Goiás, endemic, Spermacoceae, pollen, IUCN.
