Resumo

Foram encontradas seis espécies pertencentes a quatro gêneros de Cucurbitaceae nas formações de canga da Serra
dos Carajás (Pará, Brasil): Cayaponia tayuya, Gurania bignoniacea, G. sinuata, G. subumbellata, Helmontia
cardiophylla e Melothria pendula. São apresentadas descrições detalhadas, comentários e ilustrações das espécies.

Abstract

Six species belonging to four genera of Cucurbitaceae were found in the canga formations of the Serra dos
Carajás (Pará state, Brazil): Cayaponia tayuya, Gurania bignoniacea, G. sinuata, G. subumbellata, Helmontia
cardiophylla e Melothria pendula.Detailed descriptions, comments, and illustrations of the species are presented.
