<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Resumo<br/><br/>Este estudo apresenta o tratamento florístico da família Styracaceae nas formações de canga da Serra dos<br/>Carajás, no estado do Pará, com descrições detalhadas das espécies, ilustrações e comentários morfológicos.<br/>Foram registradas duas espécies de Styrax: S. griseus e S. pohlii. Styrax griseus foi descrito com base em<br/>material coletado na Serra dos Carajás, mas não é endêmico da área. Styrax pohlii é amplamente distribuído<br/>na porção norte da América do Sul.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: canga, FLONA Carajás, Styrax.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>Abstract<br/><br/>This study is the floristic survey for the Styracaceae recorded in the cangas of the Serra dos Carajás, Pará<br/>state, bringing detailed descriptions, illustrations, and morphological comments for the species. Two species<br/>of Styrax were recorded: S. griseus and S. pohlii. Styrax griseus was described based on material collected<br/>in the Serra dos Carajás, but is not endemic to the area. Styrax pohlii is widely distributed throughout the<br/>Northern portion of South America.<br/><br/>Key words: canga, FLONA Carajás, Styrax.<br/>
