RESUMO

O monitoramento por meio de bons indicadores ainda &#xE9; um desafio na avalia&#xE7;&#xE3;o dos resultados de
restaura&#xE7;&#xE3;o ecol&#xF3;gica no Brasil. Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste trabalho &#xE9; avaliar indicadores ecol&#xF3;gicos
do processo de restaura&#xE7;&#xE3;o por plantio em n&#xFA;cleos implantados h&#xE1; dois e sete anos, no Rio Grande do
Sul. Foram avaliadas 20 parcelas de 5 m x 5 m, em cada &#xE1;rea, dispostas sistematicamente sob os n&#xFA;cleos.
Todos os indiv&#xED;duos arbustivo-arb&#xF3;reos com altura superior a 30 cm foram contados e identificados. As
esp&#xE9;cies foram classificadas quanto &#xE0; s&#xED;ndrome de dispers&#xE3;o e toler&#xE2;ncia &#xE0; sombra. Foram calculados
o &#xED;ndice de diversidade de Shannon e a equabilidade de Pielou. A cobertura do dossel foi verificada com
densi&#xF4;metro esf&#xE9;rico convexo. An&#xE1;lise de vari&#xE2;ncia (p&lt;0,05) foi utilizada para comparar indicadores
de composi&#xE7;&#xE3;o flor&#xED;stica, estrutura e grupos funcionais entre as &#xE1;reas. Modelos de regress&#xE3;o linear
simples entre a &#xE1;rea de ocupa&#xE7;&#xE3;o dos n&#xFA;cleos e a riqueza e abund&#xE2;ncia da regenera&#xE7;&#xE3;o natural
foram ajustados para verificar a expans&#xE3;o dos n&#xFA;cleos. Os resultados demonstraram maior riqueza,
diversidade e percentual de cobertura de dossel na &#xE1;rea com plantio em n&#xFA;cleos h&#xE1; sete anos. Houve
diferen&#xE7;a significativa para indicadores de composi&#xE7;&#xE3;o, estrutura e grupos funcionais. O modelo de
regress&#xE3;o linear simples para a &#xE1;rea do n&#xFA;cleo em fun&#xE7;&#xE3;o do n&#xFA;mero de indiv&#xED;duos foi significativo
(p&lt;0,05). Conclui-se que os n&#xFA;cleos implantados h&#xE1; sete anos est&#xE3;o sendo eficientes para a restaura&#xE7;&#xE3;o
ecol&#xF3;gica. O per&#xED;odo cronol&#xF3;gico p&#xF3;s-implanta&#xE7;&#xE3;o deve ser considerado como vari&#xE1;vel de influ&#xEA;ncia na
efetividade da restaura&#xE7;&#xE3;o.

ABSTRACT

Monitoring through good ecological indicators is still a challenge in assessing the results of ecological
restoration in Brazil. In this sense, the aim of this work was to evaluate ecological indicators of the
restoration process by applied nucleation implanted two years and seven years ago in the south of Brazil.
A total of twenty 5 m x 5 m plots were evaluated in each area, arranged systematically under the nuclei.
All shrub-tree individuals with height greater than 30 cm were counted and identified. The species were
classified according to the dispersion syndrome and shade tolerance. Shannon&#x2019;s diversity and Pielou&#x2019;s
evenness indices were calculated. Canopy coverage was verified by a convex spherical densiometer.
Analysis of variance (p &lt;0.05) were used to compare floristic composition, structure and function group
indicators between areas. We adjusted simple linear regression models between the area occupation
of the nucleus and the richness and number of individuals of natural regeneration to verify the nuclei
expansion. The results showed greater richness, diversity and canopy coverage percentage in the area
with applied nucleation from seven years. There was a significant difference for composition, structure
and function group indicators. The simple linear regression model for the nucleus area as a function of
the number of individuals was significant (p&lt;0.05). We concluded that the nuclei implanted seven years
ago are being effective for ecological restoration. The post-implantation chronological period should be
considered as a variable of influence on the effectiveness of the restoration.
