Resumo:     Desde  2006,  o  estado  do  Tocantins  cultiva  soja  no  vazio  sanit&#xE1;rio,  ou  seja,  no  per&#xED;odo  de aus&#xEA;ncia  de  plantas  da  esp&#xE9;cie  e  frequentemente,  observa-se  a  presen&#xE7;a  de  sementes  esverdeadas  no momento  da  colheita.  A  concess&#xE3;o  para  produzir  sementes  de  soja  durante  o  per&#xED;odo  de  vazio  sanit&#xE1;rio, provinda  do  Minist&#xE9;rio  da  Agricultura  Pecu&#xE1;ria  e  Abastecimento,  deve-se  &#xE0;s  condi&#xE7;&#xF5;es  clim&#xE1;ticas  e territoriais encontradas nos munic&#xED;pios de Lagoa da Confus&#xE3;o, Duer&#xE9; e Formoso do Araguaia.  O estudo foi conduzido com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito da ocorr&#xEA;ncia de sementes esverdeadas na qualidade de lotes de  semente  de  soja.  Foram  utilizados  lotes  da  cultivar  M-SOY  8866,  produzido  em  Formoso  do  Araguaia, estado  do  Tocantins  (TO).  Os  lotes  de  sementes  foram  selecionados  considerando-se  a  presen&#xE7;a  de  0% (testemunha), 17%, 36% e 49% de sementes verdes. A qualidade das sementes foi avaliada pelos testes de peso  de  mil  sementes,  germina&#xE7;&#xE3;o  com  e  sem  pr&#xE9;-condicionamento  das  sementes,  teste  de  tetraz&#xF3;lio  e teste  de  emerg&#xEA;ncia  a  campo.  O  delineamento  experimental  utilizado  foi  blocos  casualizados  com  quatro lotes de sementes e cinco repeti&#xE7;&#xF5;es e as m&#xE9;dias comparadas pelo teste de Tukey a 5% de probabilidade. Os  resultados  obtidos  demonstram  decr&#xE9;scimo  no  percentual  de  germina&#xE7;&#xE3;o  e  vigor  de  todos  os  lotes, quando  comparados  &#xE0;  testemunha.  Isto  deve-se  as  sementes  n&#xE3;o  terem  completado  a  maturidade fisiol&#xF3;gica  at&#xE9;  o  momento  da  colheita,  mantendo-se esverdeadas.  A  alta  incid&#xEA;ncia  de  sementes  de  soja esverdeadas em um lote interfere negativamente na qualidade fisiol&#xF3;gica. Lotes comerciais de sementes de soja com &#xED;ndices de sementes verdes acima de 17% n&#xE3;o s&#xE3;o recomendados para semeadura.

 Abstract:   Since 2006, the state of Tocantins cultivates soybeans in the host-free period (the interval that is not  allowed  the  presence  of  soybean  plants  in  fields)  and  frequently  it  is  observed  the  presence  of  green seed  at  harvest  time.  The  Ministry  of  Agriculture, Livestock  and  Supply  allows  the  production  of  soybean seeds during the soybean free period due to climate and soil conditions of the municipal district of Lagoa da Confus&#xE3;o,  Duer&#xE9;  and  Formoso  do  Araguaia.  This  study  was  conducted  to  evaluate  the  effect  of  the occurrence  of  green  seeds  in  the  soybean  seed  lots.  The  lots  of  the  cultivar  M-SOY  8866  used  were produced  in  Formoso  do  Araguaia,  state  of  Tocantins  (TO).  The  seed  lots  were  selected  considering  the presence  of  0%  (witness),  17%,  36%  and  49%  green  seeds.  Seed  quality  was  monitored  by  the  test  of thousand  seed  weight,  germination  with  and  without preconditioning  of  seeds,  tetrazolium  test  and  a  field test  emergence.  The  experimental  design  was  a  randomized  block  with  four  seed  lots  and  five  replications and means were compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. The results show a decrease in the percentageof germination and vigor of all the seed lots, when compared to the control. This is because the seeds did not reached  physiological maturity until the time of harvest, remaining green seeds. The high incidence of green seeds in soybean  seed  lot  negatively  affect  the  physiological  quality.The  incidence  of  green  seed  above  17%  in soybean seed lots are not recommended for sowing.
