Resumo:    Res&#xED;duos de herbicidas no solo aplicados em determinados sistemas agr&#xED;colas podem prejudicar o desenvolvimento de culturas sens&#xED;veis em rota&#xE7;&#xE3;o/sucess&#xE3;o, como a batata. Assim, objetivou-se avaliar o efeito   da   atividade   residual   dos   herbicidas   metsulfuron-methyl,   flumioxazin   e   saflufenacil   sobre   o crescimento,  a  produtividade  e  a  qualidade  de  tub&#xE9;rculos  de  batata.  Para  isso,  foi  conduzido  um experimento  de  campo  com  os  herbicidas  (g  ha-1):  metsulfuron-methyl  (2),  flumioxazin  (100)  e  saflufenacil (100), al&#xE9;m de  um tratamento controle (sem herbicida e capinado). O  delineamento utilizado foi  em blocos casualizados, com cinco repeti&#xE7;&#xF5;es e os herbicidas foram aplicados e incorporados um dia antes ao plantio da batata cultivar &#x201C;Atlantic&#x201D;. Aos 60 e 90 dias ap&#xF3;s a aplica&#xE7;&#xE3;o, foram coletadas e avaliadas em 10 plantas ao  acaso  dentro  da  parcela,  a  mat&#xE9;ria  fresca  de  tub&#xE9;rculo  (MFT),  o  n&#xFA;mero  de  hastes  (NH),  o  n&#xFA;mero  de tub&#xE9;rculos (NT) por planta e a mat&#xE9;ria seca total (hastes + parte a&#xE9;rea) (MST). Aos 120 dias ap&#xF3;s o plantio foi realizada a colheita e avaliou-se a produtividade da &#xE1;rea &#xFA;til de todas as parcelas de tub&#xE9;rculos normais e com rachaduras e a classifica&#xE7;&#xE3;o dos tub&#xE9;rculos quanto ao di&#xE2;metro (%): classe I: &gt; 70 mm, classe II: 70 &#x2013; 42 mm, classe III: 42 &#x2013; 33 mm e descarte &lt; 33 mm. Ademais, para analisar os efeitos dos herbicidas na batata realizou-se estudos anat&#xF4;micos nos tub&#xE9;rculos encontrados normais e com anomalias (rachaduras).Todos  os  herbicidas  afetaram  negativamente  o  ac&#xFA;mulo  de  MFT,  MST  e  a  produtividade  dos  tub&#xE9;rculos, al&#xE9;m disso, constatou-se rachaduras nos tub&#xE9;rculos, comprometendo a sua qualidade e o valor comercial.

Abstract:     Residual  of  soil-applied  herbicides  in  certain  agricultural  systems  can  harm  the  development  of sensitive rotation/succession crops, such as potatoes. The objective of this study  was to evaluate the effect of  residual  activity  of  the  herbicides  metsulfuron-methyl,  flumioxazin  and  saflufenacil  on  the  growth,productivity and quality of potato tubers. For this, a field experiment was conducted with three herbicides (g ha-1): metsulfuron-methyl (2), flumioxazin (100) and saflufenacil (100), as well as a control treatment (without herbicide and weeding).  The experiment was carried out in a randomized block design with five replications and the herbicides were applied and incorporated one day before the planting of the "Atlantic" potato. At 60 and 90 days after application, 10 plants were collected and evaluated at random within the plot, fresh tuber matter  (MFT),  number  of  stems  (NS),  number  of  tubers  (NT)  per  plant  and  total  dry  matter  (stems  +  aerial part) (MST) were evaluated at 60 and 90 days after application (DAP). At 120 days after planting the harvest was performed and the yield of the useful area of all normal and cracked tubers plots was evaluated and the classification of tubers were classified for diameter (%) (&gt; 70 mm - class I, 70-42 mm - class II, 42-33 mm - class III and &lt;33 mm - discard). In addition, to analyze the effects of the herbicides on the tubers, anatomical studies  were  performed  out  on  the  tubers  found  normal  and  with  anomalies  (cracks).  All  herbicides negatively  affected the accumulation  of MFT, MST and productivity;  in  addition, it was verified cracks in the tubers, compromising their quality and commercial value.
