Resumo &#x2013;   O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar e validar o uso do sensor Irrigas&#xAE; de solo no manejo aut&#xF4;nomo da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o do tomateiro, na regi&#xE3;o de Ca&#xE7;ador, SC. Na safra 2016/17 foi conduzido um experimento em ambiente protegido avaliando cinco tens&#xF5;es de umidade do solo (20, 30, 40, 50 e 60kPa) para o in&#xED;cio da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o. Na safra 2017/18 foi conduzido um experimento a  campo  avaliando  tr&#xEA;s  manejos  da  irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o  (manejo  aut&#xF4;nomo  da  irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o  baseado  nos  sensores  Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE;;  manejo  da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o baseado na tensiometria convencional; e manejo da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o sem crit&#xE9;rio t&#xE9;cnico). Na safra 2018/19 foram avaliados os mesmos manejos da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o da safra anterior, com exce&#xE7;&#xE3;o do manejo da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o sem crit&#xE9;rio t&#xE9;cnico. Por fim, na safra 2019/2020 foi conduzida uma unidade de valida&#xE7;&#xE3;o em ambiente protegido avaliando o manejo aut&#xF4;nomo da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o do tomateiro  baseado  no  sensor  Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE;.  Na  safra  2016/17  a  maior  produ&#xE7;&#xE3;o  de  frutos  comercializ&#xE1;veis  (10,9kg  planta-1)  foi obtida na tens&#xE3;o de umidade do solo estimada de 44kPa. Na safra 2017/18 n&#xE3;o houve diferen&#xE7;as na produtividade entre os manejos de irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o avaliados. J&#xE1; na safra 2018/19 o manejo da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o baseado no sensor Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE; obteve produtividade de frutos comercializ&#xE1;veis 7,5% superior ao manejo baseado na tensiometria convencional. Os sensores Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE; permitiram o manejo aut&#xF4;nomo da irriga&#xE7;&#xE3;o do tomateiro cultivado em ambiente protegido durante todo o ciclo.

Abstract &#x2013;     The  objective  of  this  study  was  to  evaluate  and  validate  the  use  of  the  Irrigas&#xAE;  soil  sensor  in  the  autonomous management  of  tomato  irrigation,  in  the  region  of  Ca&#xE7;ador,  SC.  In  the  2016/17  harvest,  an  experiment  was  conducted  in  a protected environment, evaluating five soil moisture stresses (20, 30, 40, 50 and 60kPa) for the start of irrigation. In the 2017/18 harvest,  a  field  experiment  was  conducted  evaluating  three  irrigation  managements  (autonomous  irrigation  management based  on  Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE;  sensors;  irrigation  management  based  on  conventional  tensiometry;  and  irrigation  management  without technical  criteria).  In  the  2018/19  crop  the  same  irrigation  management  as  in  the  previous  harvest,  with  the  exception  of irrigation  management  without  technical  criteria.  Finally,  in  the  2019/2020  harvest  a  validation  unit  was  conducted  in  a protected  environment,  evaluating  the  autonomous  management  of  tomato  irrigation  based  on  the  Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE;  sensor.  In  the 2016/17  harvest  the  highest  production  of  marketable  fruits  (10.9kg    plant-1)  was  obtained  at  the  estimated  soil  moisture tension of 44kPa. In the 2017/18 harvest, there were no fruit yield differences between the irrigation management evaluated, whereas in the 2018/19 harvest, irrigation management based on the Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE; sensor obtained marketable fruit yields 7.5% higher  than  management  based  on  conventional  tensiometry.  Irrig&#xE1;s&#xAE;  sensors  allowed  the  autonomous  management  of tomato irrigation grown in a protected environment during the entire cycle.
