Resumo &#x2013;   A safra da ma&#xE7;&#xE3; de 2019/2020 apresentou redu&#xE7;&#xE3;o de 20% na produ&#xE7;&#xE3;o total, sendo 80% dessa perda ocorrida na regi&#xE3;o de S&#xE3;o Joaquim. Assim, o objetivo desse trabalho foi associar o impacto das condi&#xE7;&#xF5;es meteorol&#xF3;gicas na produ&#xE7;&#xE3;o da safra 2019/2020 de ma&#xE7;&#xE3; em Santa Catarina. Foram utilizados dados di&#xE1;rios de temperatura m&#xE9;dia do ar (&#xB0;C) e precipita&#xE7;&#xE3;o total  (mm)  de  janeiro  de  2019  a  maio  de  2020  de  77  esta&#xE7;&#xF5;es  meteorol&#xF3;gicas  em  Santa  Catarina  e  calculados  os  valores m&#xE9;dios de temperatura, os valores totais de precipita&#xE7;&#xE3;o e o balan&#xE7;o h&#xED;drico. Em 2019, o ac&#xFA;mulo de horas de frio hibernal ficou abaixo da m&#xE9;dia nas principais regi&#xF5;es produtoras de Santa Catarina (55% da m&#xE9;dia hist&#xF3;rica em Ca&#xE7;ador e 70% em S&#xE3;o Joaquim) e as temperaturas primaveris foram 4&#xB0;C superiores &#xE0; m&#xE9;dia. Essa safra foi caracterizada por um per&#xED;odo de estiagem que foi se agravando no fim da primavera, atingindo maior intensidade em mar&#xE7;o e abril/2020. As temperaturas primaveris, apesar de altas, ficaram ainda abaixo das temperaturas consideradas prejudiciais &#xE0; forma&#xE7;&#xE3;o e ao desenvolvimento dos frutos. A principal vari&#xE1;vel que resultou em perdas na produ&#xE7;&#xE3;o foi a precipita&#xE7;&#xE3;o baixa no per&#xED;odo da safra, de outubro a abril. O d&#xE9;ficit h&#xED;drico aumentou a partir da primavera atingindo seu auge na regi&#xE3;o de S&#xE3;o Joaquim em mar&#xE7;o e abril, ap&#xF3;s a colheita da  Gala,  mas  ainda  durante  o  ciclo  vegetativo  da  Fuji.    Isso  explica  o  diferencial  de  perdas  da  safra  entre  os  cultivares  e  as principais regi&#xF5;es produtoras de Santa Catarina.

Abstract &#x2013;   The apple crop production showed a 20% reduction in total production in 2019/2020, with 80% of this loss occurring in the S&#xE3;o Joaquim region. Thus, the objective of this work was to study the climatic conditions in Santa Catarina to understand the impacts on apple production. In 2019, the accumulation of chill hours was below average in all producing regions (55% of the historical average in Ca&#xE7;ador and 70% in S&#xE3;o Joaquim) and the spring temperatures were 4&#xB0;C higher than the average. This crop was characterized by a period of drought that worsened in late spring, reaching greater intensity in March and April/2020. Studies  show  that  despite  the  low  accumulation  of  cold  that  has  occurred,  artificial  sprout  induction  is  already  known  to minimize  this  problem.  Spring  temperatures,  despite  being  high,  were  still  below  temperatures  considered  harmful  to  fruit formation and development. The main variable that resulted in losses in production was low rainfall during the crop period. The water deficit increased from the spring, reaching its peak in the region of S&#xE3;o Joaquim in March and April, after the Gala harvest, reaching the cv. Fuji. This explains the difference in crop losses between the main producing regions of Santa Catarina.
