Resumo &#x2013;   O  objetivo  deste  trabalho  foi  caracterizar  os  quatro  principais  eventos  de  inunda&#xE7;&#xE3;o  costeira  ocorridos  na  Costa Catarinense no per&#xED;odo 2012 a 2020, associando os dados registrados na rede maregr&#xE1;fica da Epagri aos sistemas atmosf&#xE9;ricos atuantes no per&#xED;odo. Os eventos ocorreram nos meses de outono, inverno e primavera e apresentaram caracter&#xED;sticas similares. Os valores mais altos de mar&#xE9; registrados est&#xE3;o entre 2,0 e 2,5m. Uma diferen&#xE7;a encontrada entre os eventos foi o n&#xFA;mero de inunda&#xE7;&#xF5;es costeiras, que variou de 1 a 4 inunda&#xE7;&#xF5;es/evento. Foi observado que ciclones extratropicais, situados mais ao sul do Uruguai, provocaram 4 a 5 inunda&#xE7;&#xF5;es/evento, enquanto ciclones extratropicais situados entre o Uruguai e o Rio Grande do Sul, entre 1 e 2. Considerando 42 inunda&#xE7;&#xF5;es, verificou-se que o percentual de mar&#xE9; acima da prevista ficou entre 30-50%, 51-70%, 71-90% e &gt;90%, em 12 ,16, 13 e 1 epis&#xF3;dios, respectivamente.

Abstract &#x2013;    The main objectve of this work was to characterize four main coastal fl ooding events that occurred on the coast of Santa Catarina, Brazil between 2012 and 2020 and associate them with occurring acti ve atmospheric systems, as well as data  recorded  in  Epagri&#x2019;s  tidal  network.  All  the  fl ooding  events  took  place  in  the  Fall,  Winter  or  Spring,  presenting  similar characteristics.  The  highest  recorded  tide  values  varied  between  2.0  -  2.5m.  What  differed  from  one  event  to  another  was the number of coastal flood/event, ranging from 1 to 4. It was observed that extratropical cyclones located further South, in Uruguay, caused 4 and 5 fl oods per event, while extratropical cyclones located closer to Santa Catarina, between Uruguay and Rio Grande do Sul, 1 and 2. Considering 42 high inundations, it was found that the ti de percentage above the forecast ti de ranged between 30-50%, 51-70%, 71-90% and &gt;90%, in 12, 16, 13 and 1 episodes, respectively.
