RESUMO:     O  objetivo  foi  avaliar  a  viabilidade  t&#xE9;cnica  de  cultivos  intercalares  na  palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo em &#xE1;reas de floresta alterada de Roraima e identificar o sistema de cultivo com resposta financeira mais adequada &#xE0; amortiza&#xE7;&#xE3;o de custos de implanta&#xE7;&#xE3;o durante a fase pr&#xE9;-produtiva da palma-de-&#xF3;leo. Os tratamentos foram constitu&#xED;dos de oito sistemas de  cultivos:  S1&#x2011; palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo &#xD7; banana &#xD7; feij&#xE3;o&#x2011;caupi; S2&#x2011; palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo &#xD7; abacaxi; S3&#x2011; palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo &#xD7; mandioca; S4&#x2011; palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo &#xD7; feij&#xE3;o&#x2011;caupi &#xD7; milho; S5- palma-de-&#xF3;leo &#xD7; milho &#xD7; mandioca; S6&#x2011; palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo &#xD7; feij&#xE3;o&#x2011;caupi; S7&#x2011; palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo &#xD7; amendoim; e S8&#x2011; palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo em cultivo solteiro. Utilizou&#x2011;se o delineamento em blocos casualizados com tr&#xEA;s repeti&#xE7;&#xF5;es. Foi avaliado o desenvolvimento vegetativo da palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo por meio da circunfer&#xEA;ncia do coleto, comprimento da folha 9, largura e espessura do r&#xE1;quis da folha 9, n&#xFA;mero de fol&#xED;olos da folha 9 e n&#xFA;mero de folhas emitidas por planta aos 18 meses ap&#xF3;s o plantio. Foram quantificadas a produ&#xE7;&#xE3;o das culturas no primeiro ciclo de colheita. Os   Indicadores financeiros utilizados foram a taxa de retorno e &#xED;ndice de lucratividade. Conclui&#x2011;se que, dentre os sistemas avaliados, os que favoreceram o crescimento vegetativo da cultura da palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo foram os sistemas consorciados com feij&#xE3;o&#x2011;caupi &#xD7; milho, amendoim  e  mandioca,  mostrando-se  tamb&#xE9;m  economicamente  vi&#xE1;veis  e  podendo  ser  indicados como alternativa econ&#xF4;mica para produ&#xE7;&#xE3;o de palma&#x2011;de&#x2011;&#xF3;leo.

ABSTRACT:     This  article  aimed  to  evaluate  the  technical  feasibility  of  inter-  cropped  cultivation  of  the  Oil  palm  in  altered  forested  areas  of  Roraima,  and  identify  cropping  systems  with  better  financial  response  for  cost  recovery  in  Oil  palm  plants  during  the pre-production  phase  of  development.  The  treatments  were  composed  of  eight  cropping  systems: S1- Oil palm &#xD7; banana &#xD7; cowpea; S2- Oil palm &#xD7; pineapple; S3- Oil palm &#xD7; cassava; S4- Oil palm &#xD7; cowpea &#xD7; maize; S5- Oil palm &#xD7; maize &#xD7; cassava; S6- Oil palm &#xD7; cowpea; S7- Oil palm &#xD7; peanut and S8- Oil palm in mono crop. A randomized block design was used with three replications. The vegetative development of the Oil palm was evaluated through the girth circumference, length of leaf 9, width and thickness of the rachis of leaf 9, number of leaflets of leaf 9 and number of leaves per plant issued as of 18 months after planting. Crop yields were quantified on the first collection cycle. The financial indicators used were the rate of return and profitability index. Is the study concluded that the most favoring systems for the vegetative growth of the Oil palm crop were the cowpea inter cropping systems with maize; peanut and cassava also was shown to be economically viable and may indicate an economic alternative to production of Oil palm.
