N2  - Abstract – The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of Banana streak virus (BSV) on the nutritional status and yield of 'BRS Thap Maeo' banana plants cultivated in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. Thirty-six plants were analyzed: 18 with and 18 without visible BSV symptoms. The infected
plants showed nutritional disorders, with reduced foliar concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium, as well as higher levels of calcium, zinc, iron, sulfur, boron, copper, and manganese. The banana plants with BSV symptoms present, in average, a 60% reduction in bunch weight.
