  <abstract>


Resumo –      A  suinocultura  é  um  segmento  da  agropecuária  com  histórico  de  crescimento  no  Oeste  Catarinense,  mas  isso é  contraposto  pelo  impacto  ambiental  inerente  à  atividade  que,  devido  à  geração  de  dejetos,  tem  grande  potencial  de contaminação  das  águas  superficiais.  Com  o  licenciamento  ambiental  e  o  uso  das  tecnologias  da  informação,  a  quantidade de  áreas  para  a  aplicação  de  dejetos  líquidos  de  suínos  e  a  relação  com  os  limites  geoambientais  do  território  podem  ser analisadas. A análise das áreas de aplicação confirmou a possibilidade de aumentar o número de suínos no território em razão da disponibilidade de áreas passíveis à adubação orgânica.

  <abstract>


Abstract –      Pig farming is a segment of agriculture with a history of growth in western Santa Catarina. Although important, It causes an environmental impact inherent to the activity, which is the generation of waste and its potential for contaminating surface waters. With environmental licensing and the use of information technologies, it is possible to analyze the number of areas for the application of liquid pig manure and the relationship with the geoenvironmental limits of the territory. In this study, the analysis of application areas can confirm the possibility of increasing the number of pigs in the territory due to the availability of areas suitable for organic fertilization.
