O  presente  artigo  faz  uma  reflexão  sobre  a  experiência  da implantação dos Projetos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (PDS's) no estado de São Paulo. Estes assentamentos nasceram da demanda dos movimentos sociais, da crítica ao modelo agrícola da revolução verde e buscou dar passos na  direção  de  afirmar  uma  política  de  criação  e  desenvolvimento  de assentamentos com o viés ambiental. O artigo faz uma revisão desse processo refletindo sua novidade, seus limites e desafios; Abstract:
This  article  offers  some  reflections  on  the  experience  of implementing  the  Sustainable  Development  Projects  in  the  State  of  São Paulo.  These  rural  settlements  were  established  as  a  result  of  the  social movements  and  in  response  to  the  criticism  of  the  Green  Revolution,  an agricultural model, and there has been an attempt to develop a policy to deal with the development of rural settlements and the environmental bias.The  article  examines  the  process  and  concludes  by  offering  some considerations with respect to its novelty, its limitations and other challenges
