    <subfield code="a">O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a hospedabilidade de Eucalyptus dunni, E. grandis e E. citriodora a
Meloidogyne arenaria, M. javanica e M. morocciensis. O experimento foi realizado na Universidade Federal de
Santa Maria sob condi&#xE7;&#xF5;es de casa de vegeta&#xE7;&#xE3;o (25 &#xB1; 2 &#xBA;C). Para tanto, as mudas de eucalipto foram inoculadas
individualmente com 2.000 ovos + juvenis de segundo est&#xE1;dio (J2) dos respectivos nematoides, incluindo-se, no
ensaio, um tratamento controle (sem inocula&#xE7;&#xE3;o). Decorridos 180 dias da inocula&#xE7;&#xE3;o, as plantas foram avaliadas
quanto &#xE0; altura, &#xE0;s massas da mat&#xE9;ria fresca da parte a&#xE9;rea e do sistema radicular. A seguir, determinou-se a
popula&#xE7;&#xE3;o final dos nematoides nos sistemas radiculares das plantas inoculadas para c&#xE1;lculo do fator de reprodu&#xE7;&#xE3;o
(FR= popula&#xE7;&#xE3;o final/popula&#xE7;&#xE3;o inicial). Adicionalmente, a rea&#xE7;&#xE3;o das esp&#xE9;cies de eucalipto foi classificada de
acordo com os valores de FR, considerando-se como resistentes, aqueles cujo nematoide apresentou FR&lt;1,00 e,
suscet&#xED;veis, aqueles com FR 1,00. As esp&#xE9;cies de Meloidogyne interferiram negativamente no desenvolvimento
das plantas de E. grandis e E.citriodora, causando redu&#xE7;&#xE3;o na altura e massa de parte a&#xE9;rea. Todas as esp&#xE9;cies
analisadas foram resistentes a M. javanica (0,36 &gt; FR &lt; 0,19), M. arenaria (0,42 &gt; FR &lt; 0,14) e M. morocciensis
(0,25 &gt; FR &lt; 0,10).

    <subfield code="a">Hospitability of species of eucalyptus to root-knot nematodes. The objective this
work was to evaluate the hostability of Eucalyptus dunni, E. grandis and E. citriodora to Meloidogyne arenaria,
M. javanica and M. morocciensis. The experiment was performed in Federal University of Santa Maria in greenhouse
conditions (25 &#xB1; 2 &#xBA;C). Thus, eucalyptus seedlings were individually inoculated with 2,000 eggs + second stage
juveniles (J2), together with a control treatment (without inoculation). After 180 days of inoculation, plant height,
fresh matter of shoots and root system were evaluated. In addition, the final population of nematodes was determined
in the root systems of inoculated plants to calculate the reproduction factor (RR = final population/initial population).
Additionally, the reaction of eucalyptus species was classified according with RR values, considering RF values as
resistant &lt;1.00 and susceptible with RF 1.00 values. Meloidogyne species interfered negatively in the development
of E. grandis and E.citriodora plants, causing a reduction in aerial part height and mass. All species analyzed were
resistant to M. javanica (0.36 &gt; FR &lt; 0.19), M. arenaria (0.42 &gt; FR &lt; 0.14) and M. morocciensis (0.25 &gt; FR &lt; 0.10).
