| 520 | _a RESUMO: Este trabalho relata a obtenção e o estudo químico preliminar do óleo essencial de Anemia tomentosa (Savigny) Swartz var. anthriscifolia (Schrader) Mickel (Schizaeaceae). As plantas foram coletadas em local rochoso no estado do Rio de Janeiro e as folhas frescas submetidas à extração pelo método de Clevenger modificado. O óleo obtido foi analisado por cromatografia em fase gasosa acoplada a espectrometria de massas e por espectroscopia de ressonância magnética nuclear de próton e de carbono-13. O componente majoritário do óleo foi identificado como isoafricanol. Este é o primeiro registro de um esqueleto africano em pteridófita. This work reports the isolation and preliminary chemical analyses of the essential oil from Anemia tomentosa (Savigny) Swartz var. anthriscifolia (Schrader) Mickel (Schizaeaceae). Plants were collected from a rocky area in the State of Rio de Janeiro, and fresh leaves were submitted to modified Clevenger extraction. The essential oil was analyzed by GC-MS and by 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopies. The major component was unambigously identified as isoafricanol.
