| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>RESUMO<br/>O objetivo desta pesquisa foi o entendimento dos processos e mecanismos geradores da distribuição<br/>espacial de Ocotea odorifera, com a discriminação de influências do ambiente das advindas de interação<br/>entre indivíduos. Para tanto, utilizou-se a distribuição espacial de árvores da espécie em uma região de 25<br/>hectares de Floresta Ombrófila Mista (FOM) amostrada na Floresta Nacional (FLONA) de Irati. Esses dados,<br/>descritos sob a forma de um processo espacial pontual, foram apreciados por duas técnicas da Estatística<br/>Espacial. Primeiramente, foi utilizado um estimador de intensidade por kernel para avaliação de padrões<br/>globais de dispersão de árvores na região amostrada, e em seguida, a função K de Ripley não homogênea,<br/>que evidencia os padrões locais. Pôde-se verificar que os agrupamentos da espécie se situaram nas áreas<br/>mais elevadas da região amostrada, possivelmente em solos mais bem drenados. Além disso, constatou-se<br/>atração entre os indivíduos da espécie, originando agrupamentos nas maiores escalas avaliadas, conforme<br/>revelado pela função K de Ripley não homogênea.<br/><br/>Palavras-chave: Função K de Ripley; estimador de intensidade; padrão espacial pontual. |

| Nota de conteúdo | <br/><br/>ABSTRACT<br/>Distinction between generating mechanisms of the spatial patterns of forest species – case study with<br/>Ocotea odorifera. The objective of this research was the understanding of the processes and generating<br/>mechanisms of the spatial distribution of Ocotea odorifera, discriminating influences of the environment<br/>from those arising due to interactions between individuals. For this, coordinates from species trees were<br/>taken in a region of 25 hectares of Mixed Rain Forest (FOM) sampled in the National Forest (FLONA) of<br/>Irati. These data, described as a spatial point process, were evaluated by two Spatial Statistics techniques.<br/>Initially, a Kernel intensity estimator verified the global patterns of trees dispersion in the sampled region,<br/>and posteriorly, the non-homogeneous Ripley’s K function was used to study the local patterns. It was<br/>verified that the species clusters were localized in the highest areas of the sampled region, possibly in better<br/>drained soils. Furthermore, attraction was found amongst the specie’s individuals, originating clusters in the<br/>largest scales analyzed, as shown by the non-homogeneous Ripley’s K function.<br/><br/>Keywords: Ripley’s K function; intensity estimation; spatial point pattern. |
